Creating visual solutions in the areas of information design, corporate identity, print, and interactive/web design is my speciality. I use a combination of research, strategy, curiosity, visual acuity and a smattering of obsessive-compulsive disorder to create highly engaging, functional and appropriate design.

I am very interested in furthering my skills in highly dense, information-driven pieces in print, the built environment and UI/UX design. I'm also an environmentally conscious designer interested in promoting and exemplifying responsible design.

I have fine-tuned my skills in the Visual Communication Design program at the University of Washington, from which I graduated in May of 2005. VCD is an in depth, highly selective program that strongly emphasizes problem analysis, subject interpretation and realization of visual solutions to complex problems in contemporary culture. I also studied architecture, astronomy and developed a fondness for maps. While working in the Suzzallo Map Collection, my best friend Josh and I created and produced a movie showcasing Team Maps and other various map shenanigans. The movie was presented at the annual UW Libraries Conference and the WAML conference in Boulder, Colorado.

After a quarter long internship at the branding and identity studio, Kendall Ross, I started contracting for Microsoft's Windows Live Team doing UI and UX work on the Windows Live Human Interface Guidelines and with the Branding and Merchandising teams. In Spring of 2006 I became the Design Director for RIVET Magazine, a Seattle-based, non-profit magazine dedicated to resound the new voices of artists and writers from across the nation.

I own a village record on Guam for longest breath held underwater of 2mins 1sec. Recently, my closest friend and cousin, Agapito, has tied my record.
